1. About this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how FQPS Academy collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use our platform, and the rights you have over that data.
2. Data we collect
We collect the details you provide when you create an account and use the platform (such as your name, email address and study activity), together with technical information needed to operate and secure the service.
3. How we use your data
We use your data to provide and personalise your study experience, to operate mentor and progress features, to process payments, to keep the platform secure and to communicate with you about your account.
4. Legal bases for processing
We process personal data where it is necessary to provide the service you have signed up for, to comply with our legal obligations, for our legitimate interests in running the platform, and, where required, with your consent.
5. Sharing your data
We share data only with the service providers that help us operate the platform (for example, email delivery, payment processing and hosting), and where we are required to do so by law. We do not sell your personal data.
6. Cookies and advertising measurement
Analytics and advertising cookies are off unless you accept them in our cookie banner, and you can change that choice at any time from Cookie settings on fqps.co.uk or under Settings, Privacy & Data in the app. If you accept advertising cookies, we measure whether our adverts on ChatGPT (OpenAI) and Google led to a sign-up or a purchase. The OpenAI Ads pixel stores an advert click reference and a random browser reference in cookies on fqps.co.uk, and when you sign up, start a checkout or buy a plan we send OpenAI that event with your email address, account id and name in hashed (SHA-256) form, your IP address and browser details, and the order value. Google Ads tags on fqps.co.uk work in a similar way. If you do not accept, none of this happens.
6a. Android app measurement and optional uploads
The Android app uses Google Analytics for Firebase only after you accept its separate app privacy prompt. A website cookie choice does not opt the app in. You can reject optional measurement or enable app analytics without ad measurement, and change your choice under Settings, Privacy & Data, App measurement preferences. Analytics records first opens, sessions, onboarding completion and completed study sessions. Our custom events contain the study mode and number of saved answers, without names, emails, account IDs, answers, scores or session IDs. The Google SDK also processes app-instance identifiers, device/app information, approximate location derived from a masked IP address, and purchase/subscription events such as product and price. With ad measurement consent, Google may use the Android advertising ID and our linked Google Ads account to attribute conversions. Personalised advertising is disabled. Withdrawing consent stops future optional collection and does not undo processing already completed. Photos, recordings, documents, responses and messages you choose to submit are processed to provide the requested study, AI feedback or mentor features; microphone and camera access requires device permission. 7. Data retention
We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active and for any further period required to meet our legal and operational obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location you have rights over your personal data, including rights to access, correct, export or delete it, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise these from your account settings or by contacting us.
9. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including encryption in transit and access controls around who can see your information.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make a material change we will update the version below and, where appropriate, ask you to review the new version.
